Berlon builds three classes of skid steer pallet forks, with varying load capacity from 1,250 pounds to 7,000 pounds.
Berlon builds three classes of skid steer pallet forks, with varying load capacity from 1,250 pounds to 7,000 pounds. Ratings are based on a 24-inch load center, based on a 3:1 safety factor.
All our skid steer pallet forks are built with heat-treated solid forks with tapered ends, and are designed to meet or exceed all industry recommendations, including ISO 2330 and ASME B56. Every fork we sell is checked for metallurgical defects and tested for hardness.
Other features of these attachments are a spring loaded positioning latch, steps on the medium and heavy duty models, a heavy duty brick guard, and powder painting. The beveled inner edge of the notched fork top rail provides for easier positioning of the forks.
Light Duty Pallet Fork
Berlon's Class I light duty pallet forks are made for small skid steers and compact utility tractors with limited lifting capability. We use light material in their construction to maximize the lifting capacity of the machine.
Class I forks are rated for a capacity of 1,500 pounds per pair. A standard universal mounting plate for the attachment is included. Click on the Photo tab below for pictures.
Medium Duty Pallet Fork
The Class II medium duty pallet fork is Berlon's standard set of forks. Capacity ranges from 4,000 pounds to 5,500 pounds. Actual lifting capacities are determined by the working capacity of the skid steer.
The medium duty attachments have side steps and one of the best brick guards in the market. Our standard universal mounting plate, MPUF-1, is included.
Heavy Duty Pallet Fork
The Class III fork attachment was designed for bigger machines. These attachments have a heavier frame and bigger forks (2x5 inches). Steps are on the side of the frame. Click on the Photo tab below for pictures.
The Class III heavy duty forks come with a heavier universal mounting plate, the MPUF-1HD. The mount is reinforced on the top bar and the latch pin holes. Lifting capacity is 7,000 pounds.
Walk-Through Brick Guard
We also make a pallet fork attachment with a walk-through brick guard, designed for skid steers with front doors. A slip-resistant step is mounted to the brick guard at the opening of this walk-through pallet fork. The opening is tapered, from 12 inches at the base to 18 inches at the top, to allow for easy pass-through while retaining strength.
Note that actual lifting capacities of any set of pallet forks are determined by the working capacity of the machine.
